Planning Storyboard for my Callaway Blue Water Commercial


Scene one: It will begin outside in a field with a woman running. I'll follow her using a pan shot to emphasize the movements and that she is exercising. I might have the opening shot to be the sky and then move the camera down to focus on her or I might start from her shoes and work my way up.
Scene two: In this scene the woman will get tired from running and stop to take a rest. As she kneels and rests her hand on her knee she'll say "Its so hot" or something that expresses the conditions of the weather. She'll also have sweat dripping from her face to put even more emphasis on how hot it is.
Scene three: In this next scene Spiderman will appear with an ice cold bottle of Callaway Blue Spring water. Spiderman will say "here take this" while handing it to the woman followed by her thanking him.
Scene Four: Spiderman is absent from this scene but leaves the woman with the bottle of water in her hand. The woman stands in her position and drinks the water from the bottle that Spiderman left her. After she finishes the bottle she throws it into the grass (she liters).
Scene Five: In the fifth scene, the camera will show the bottle of the water on the ground next to the woman showing the logo. The woman will then begin to run again but this time with a smile on her face. Showing logo and the woman now running and smiling will emphasize an effect of drinking a refreshing bottle of Callaway.
Scene Six: The camera will be zoomed into the label of the bottle still on the ground and the camera will go downwards and back up. When the camera comes back up it will be zoomed out and their will be a baby sitting on the ground where the bottle was, implying that the bottle turned into a baby. The effect I was looking for with the bottle turning into a baby was comical and also to imply that this water that even an empty bottle of it is beneficial. The baby will then give a message saying "drink water without littering," and the video will end.
-My plan is for each slide to be at least 5 seconds long with no breaks or blank pauses in between. The scenes will also take place in the same location, outside in a field.

  We plan to film our short film at different locations around the school. The first place we plan to film is on the track. This is where the establishing shot will be and the entire first scene will happen. The next scene will take place in the bully's room, this where the transition to the bully's dream takes place. The bully's dream will occur in the outside hallway of building 5. The final scene will happen in the bus loop. We will begin filming after winter break, January 3, 2022. The day back is an A day so we will try to film during al of our study halls. When filming isn't in process everyone will have on their masks for safety. Genre Research - Final Choice

    Out of all three of the genres chosen, we decided to finally go with Drama. The reason for this choice is that a drama is simply more flexible than the others. There are so many aspects to a film that can make it be considered as a drama. On the other hand, Horror and Comedy have a big more restraint. When making a horror film, there has to be some element that “scares” the audience. Whether it is actually scary or not isn’t the point, but whether it creates a chilling atmosphere. It just didn’t really seem to fit into the prompt of our short film. We don’t want the audience to be too distracted by “not getting scared” to the point where they miss the message we are trying to send. Comedy was a little more close than horror, but again, it didn’t seem to match our story. The main purpose of comedic films is to have the audience laughing. Genres choices

  We chose three different genres that we believed our pitch could fit into. The first genre we chose is comedy. Our pitch could fit into the comedy genre because of some events that could occur. For example, while the bully is learning from his mistake someone could make a joke. It could also fit in this genre because of its elements and Mis-En-Scene. Such as, the casual costumes and classroom settings of many comedy films. The second genre we chose for our pitch is horror. This pitch could fit into this genre because of the acts of violence within the scenes. Another reason it could fit is because of some common sounds found in horror. For example, screaming; this could be used in our pitch during a scene where the bully is bullying someone. The last genre we chose for our pitch is drama.
